G+ Galleries is pleased to present an exhibition of paintings by Standa Sedlak. Entitled “Scapes”, it’s an album of personal memories.
“I’m not from around here, just passing through...” (–Michal Tucny)
“Life is like a train ride. Sometimes rushing at a great speed, other times just slowly rocking, the world flashing behind the window. Images of forests, fields, towns that will stay only in our memory. Perhaps for a moment we were riding the same train. If not, at least enjoy the view from my train car. After all, each ride has its unrepeatable charm.”
Standa Sedlak is a Toronto-based artist born in Prague, Czech republic. He has exhibited in Czech republic between 1983 and 1999. ‘Scapes’ will be his second solo show in Toronto. In December Standa will present his work as one of the participants of the Florence Biennale of Contemporary art in Italy. |
