Look! is a collection of Patrick Lee's intuitive colour snapshots with a digital camera made between 2004 and 2005. Paired by the artist carefully in diptychs, some have obvious connections, while others look benign together. For Patrick Lee, photography is a therapeutic process, a faith searching quest. He needed a medium for self-healing. When he is confronted with an image he has created, it forces him to be frank and truthful to himself. It reflects his own wounds. It's therapy. It's obvious that there's a religious overtone to many of his images, the Catholic faith he has struggled with his entire adult life.

Patrick Lee is a photographer and installation artist living and working in Hong Kong. He is co-founder of Para-site, one of the first artist-run centres in Hong Kong, and committee member of the contemporary photo magazine Dislocation.
