The Canadian born, Glasgow-based artist Erica Eyres is well-versed in the mockumentary style of drawing. Her unapologetic, sarcastic drawings show female bodybuilders poised comfortably in front of the camera. With a heighten sense of exaggeration, the beautiful strokes of the ballpoint pens are precise and sensuous, adding vitality to the somewhat unnatural characters.


Erica Eyres is a multidisciplinary artist who works mostly in video, performance and drawing. Originally from Winnipeg, she completed her MFA at the Glasgow School of Art in 2004. Eyres has shown with othergallery at Aqua Art Fair in Miami and The Toronto International Art Fair. Recent gallery shows include Rush Arts in NYC, CCA in Glasgow, Rokeby Gallery in London, G+ GALLERIES in Toronto, Fette's Gallery in Los Angeles and Kunsthaus Erfurt in Erfurt.
