The Salon celebrates the ritual of the hairdo. This image brings together women at the salon having a meditative wash, dry and updo. An hommage to self-indulgence through shampoo and style.
Using mainly linocuts as form of expression to celebrate everyday life, she creates a theatre of the mundane in small formats varying in size from 2" X 2" to 2" X 4". Themes of interest include 'Humans & Beings' 'Snacks & Apparel' and 'Housing'. Taking inspiration from everyday rituals of commuting and grocery shopping to tea and toast, she reveals overlooked daily performances on a tiny linocut stage.
