Oxana Goutnik was born in Kazakhstan (USSR) in a small town on Caspian sea. Her father was an amateur photographer and Oxana used to help him with film processing and printing. She got her first own film camera in year 1999. Presently living in Saint Petersburg in Russia, Oxana prefers film cameras and black and white films.

Almost never leaving her house without a camera for the last 8 years, Oxana does photography in order to "stay in peace with this world". Traveling many parts of the world, Two Girls was shot in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
