GOOD Edition introduces a fresh body of work by Jim Allen. The selection of these GOOD Editions is based on his small drawings made about two or three years ago.

It feels relevant to associate Jim Allen's drawing with Chinese calligraphy and oriental ink-and-wash paintings since they have the same hieroglyphic, pictorial character. Having inspired by another artist Henrik Drescher, Jim Allen started drawing a few years ago. Working mainly with watercolors and pens, Jim's drawings move quickly following his instincts while developing a Blink philosophy that has become reality for him. This philosophy influences all of his work.. imagery appears quickly and as if by magic. His love of calligraphy easily rises up to the surface of his work using narrow pointed pens scratching at the surface of his soul.

Beside this recent art practice, Jim Allen has been a professional photographer for more than 30 years. He's known for his portraiture and has traveled and worked all over the world. Drawing has given him a chance to break loose, to play and explore his own subconscious inner world.
